Round 22 Wrap-Up

Posted by Ben on September 1, 2009

Here is the Wrap-Up for Round 22.

West Coast vs. Richmond

A thumping win for West Coast finished with some interesting SuperCoach scores. A ripper game for Mark LeCras, Matt Spangher,  Tom Swift, Matt Priddis and Shannon Hurn pretty much was the building material for their smashing win. Brett Deledio also had a good game. Nathan Brown and Alex Rance probably dissapointed a few though, both with scores around the fourty mark.

Fremantle vs. Geelong

An amazing match SuperCoach-wise, because 16/22 players from Geelong scored over my reasonable score of 80. Chris Tarrant and Matthew Pavlich were the only good-scoring Freo players. A breakout game from Matthew Scarlett scoring 153. Not really a breakout game for Gazza even, though he scored 146:).

Essendon vs. Hawthorn

It was a great game, with a few surprises as well. Max Bailey going off with a knee injury and ended up scoring 0:D. Matthew Lloyd had a shocker only scoring 28 points. On the bright side, young gun Michael Hurley was the top scorer for Essendon, while Michael Osborne was top scorer of the night. Bateman, Atkinson, Mitchell, McPhee and Lovett-Murray all had good games as well.

Carlton vs. Adelaide

A dissapointing loss to Carlton ended up in a dissapointing score for most of their players as well. The only stand out from Carlon was Heath Scotland and maybe even Gibbs. Adelaide played magnificently and scored their highest score since 1996 with 176. Vince, McLeod and Porpoise are some of the high scoring Crows from Saturday.

Sydney vs. Brisbane

A reasonable SuperCoach game, no outstanding differences from any normal game. Normal. Average. Non-exciting. :D. Adam Goodes was a standout racking up 153 points. Roberts-Thompson, Brennan and Clark also had great games. Josh Drummond and Jared Crouch were very dissapointing though.

Port Adelaide vs. North Melbourne

A great win for Darren Crocker with his last match coaching the Kangas. Dean Brogan was outstanding for his last match for the Power. Josh Gibson also played terrificly. Scott McMahon played good as well as Brent Harvey. Troy Chaplin and Robbie Gray were also up there.

Melbourne vs. St Kilda

1st vs. 16th. That explains it all really. 155, 146, 132, 129, 113 and 109 were the scores of Montagna, Hayes, Riewoldt, Dal Santo, Fisher and Gilbert. Great game for all those blokes. Goddard was dissapointing but only because he has high expectations, he scored 79. Sylvia has a good game getting just above the 100 point mark.

Collingwood vs. Bulldogs

A very good game ended up in a very good game in SuperCoach terms as well. Lake, Gilbee and Boyd were really the ‘Amazing Bulldog 3’. Lockyer and Maxwell played well too. Brad Dick, Josh Fraser and Mitch Hahn were a little bit below standard but you can sort of excuse Fraser.
